Left Something at Your Busan Hotel and Already in Gyeongju? How Hotel-to-Hotel Delivery Works

Yes, it can be moved the same day, but usually not through the standard luggage services. Goodlugg's Busan–Gyeongju hotel route needs at least 2 bags, booked by midnight the day before. For one forgotten item, what works is an on-demand quick courier from the hotel door, or Zim Carry's KTX parcel on a few trains.

Quick Answer

First, get the Busan hotel to confirm they have the item and will hand it over. Then pick a route. If it is not a Sunday, the item is small and not a spray, and you can reach Gyeongju station before its counter closes at 18:00, Zim Carry's KTX parcel (KTX특송) costs ₩5,000 to ₩28,000 by size. The catch is that the item has to reach the Busan station counter at least 30 minutes before one of only three listed trains. Otherwise, book an on-demand quick courier from the Busan hotel door to the Gyeongju hotel door, with pickup now or at a set time. Tell the Gyeongju front desk a delivery is coming in your name. If what you left is your passport, do not courier it. We handle the Busan side: calling the hotel in Korean, booking the courier and telling your Gyeongju hotel who is coming. We do not operate in Gyeongju itself.

Why don't the usual luggage delivery services work for a forgotten item?

Hotel-to-hotel luggage services in Korea are built for planned moves, not forgotten items. We checked in October 2026. Goodlugg is the only operator page we found with a fixed Busan hotels to Gyeongju hotels route, and its rules exclude most forgotten-item cases:

• The route needs at least 2 bags per booking, from ₩49,000 per bag one way (carry-on ₩49,000, checked ₩52,000, oversize or golf bag ₩55,000).
• Bookings close at midnight the day before. Changes and cancellations are not possible after midnight.
• Bags must be dropped off before 11:00 and can be collected after 19:00.
• Items that were not booked, such as shopping bags and backpacks, are not picked up. You also upload a photo of the bag or hotel tag and book under your passport English name.
• On-site booking exists only at Goodlugg Stations and Incheon Airport. The stations are in Seoul (Coex Mall and CGV Myeongdong), so there is no walk-in counter in Busan.

Goodlugg also shows a "Door2Door Delivery BETA" banner for "Anywhere in Korea". The page gives no price, minimum or details, so we cannot tell you whether it takes a single forgotten item.

Zim Carry's same-day luggage delivery has similar limits. Online same-day bookings close at 11:00 (15:00 at a counter), and bags sent from a hotel must be left by 11:00. Plastic or paper shopping bags, umbrellas and boxes may be refused. If the bag is not at the pickup point when the driver arrives, the service ends without a refund. Its page lists hotel-to-hotel delivery but does not say whether intercity routes like Busan to Gyeongju are included, so treat that as unverified.

How does the KTX parcel from Busan station work?

KTX특송 sends an item on a passenger train between station counters. We checked Zim Carry's KTX parcel page in October 2026:

• Only three listed trains carry parcels from Busan to Gyeongju: train 28 (09:49 → 10:24), train 42 (14:20 → 14:48) and train 44 (14:31 → 15:06). Train 44 does not run on Saturdays or holidays.
• Drop-off closes 30 minutes before the train leaves. Trains not on the timetable cannot be used, and the timetable can change at any time.
• The page has a notice saying parcel trains were adjusted from 1 September 2026 after the KTX/SRT merger. An October 2026 notice lists counters that are closed on some days. Both notices are images we could not read, so check them before relying on a slot.
• There is no KTX parcel service on Sundays at any counter.
• Busan station counter hours are 08:00–20:00 on weekdays and 08:00–18:00 on Saturdays and holidays. Gyeongju station counter hours are 09:00–18:00 on weekdays, Saturdays and holidays.
• Prices by size cover up to 10 kg: ₩5,000 for a tiny parcel (sides adding up to 50 cm or less), then ₩8,000 (A), ₩10,000 (B), ₩14,000 (C), ₩20,000 (D) and ₩28,000 (special). Each extra 5 kg costs ₩2,000, up to 30 kg. No long-distance surcharge is listed for Busan–Gyeongju.
• You must collect the item the same day during counter hours, or a daily storage fee is charged. Compensation is up to ₩500,000 per item.
• Volatile items such as sprays are banned. If your forgotten bag has aerosol cans in it, have them taken out first.
• KTX-Sancheon and Cheongryong trains only take small parcels: 35 cm or less, sides adding up to 80 cm or less, and 5 kg or less.

The catch is the two ends. Somebody has to carry the item from your Busan hotel to Busan station in time, and you have to reach Gyeongju station before the counter closes. Zim Carry lists a phone line, 1544-7781, for booking "from pickup to delivery". It also has a notice titled as a quick-courier link on all routes, but we could not read it, so we do not know that pickup's price or area. Older blogs quote a ₩7,600 base price, but the current official table is different.

How does a quick courier from hotel to hotel work?

A quick (퀵) courier picks up at one door and delivers to another, with no station step. Kakao T Quick is the best-known app. We checked its order page in October 2026. The vehicle options are motorbike (up to 20 kg, about ramen-box size), small car, Damas van, Labo truck and 1-ton truck. The speed options are economy, standard and express (급송), with "pick up today, right away" or a booked pickup time. The booked pickup is how you time it around when you need the item, but the page gives no guaranteed delivery times.

The fare depends on distance. It only appears after you enter both addresses, and you have to log in with a Kakao account to order. The app is in Korean. This is the same hurdle we describe in using Korean apps without a Korean phone number. We did not check whether a foreign phone number or card can sign up for Kakao T, and we did not find an official page confirming Busan to Gyeongju coverage. That is why we are not quoting a fare or a travel time here. If you want the general picture of getting a quick courier booked when you cannot do it yourself, we wrote that up separately.

Couriers will not take ID cards, cash or live animals, and orders worth more than ₩500,000 in total have to be flagged. Kakao also offers a slower visiting parcel pickup (방문 택배) delivered within 3 days. That only makes sense if you are in Gyeongju for several nights. We have not verified next-day timing for regular parcel companies such as Korea Post or CJ.

What do you tell the Busan hotel and the Gyeongju hotel?

We did not find a published hotel policy on handing a guest's belongings to a courier, so expect each front desk to decide for itself. When we call on your behalf, it helps to have:

1. Your name as it appears on the booking, your room number and your check-out date, plus a description of the item and where you left it.
2. A short message from you, by email or through the booking app, saying the hotel may give the item to a courier. For example: "객실에 두고 온 물건을 퀵 기사님께 전달해 주세요" (Please hand the item I left in my room to the quick courier).
3. A request that loose items go into a bag or box and get taped shut, so nothing falls out on the way.
4. At the Gyeongju end, a heads-up to the front desk: "오늘 제 이름으로 퀵 배송이 도착합니다. 보관 부탁드립니다" (A courier delivery arrives today in my name. Please keep it for me).

Have we done a Busan to Gyeongju move before?

Yes, once on record so far: a paid Busan to Gyeongju order on 15 October 2026, with a total of ₩73,000. We are not publishing the hotels or anything about the customer. That total is not a price list, because courier fares are based on distance and vehicle. If it is a bag left behind after you have already flown home, the steps are different. When should you not use us?

• You are still in Busan the evening before and have 2 or more bags. Book Goodlugg directly before midnight.
• You read Korean and can log in to a Kakao account. Book the courier and call the hotel yourself.
• It is your passport or ID card. Couriers do not carry ID, so go back for it yourself.
• The item needs to move within Gyeongju or onward from Gyeongju. That is outside our service area, which covers Seoul, the wider Seoul metropolitan area and Busan. Our post on what changes outside Seoul and Busan explains why.
• The item is cheap and easy to replace. Buying a new one in Gyeongju may cost less than moving it.
• You simply have too much to carry on your last day. That is a different problem; see when the bag will not close on your last day.

Can my Busan hotel send something I forgot to my Gyeongju hotel?

Hotels decide this themselves, and we found no published policy on it. The usual way is for you, or us on your behalf, to book a quick courier from the Busan hotel door to your Gyeongju hotel, and the front desk hands the item over. Give the hotel your name, room number, check-out date and written permission to release the item.

Can I use Goodlugg for one forgotten bag from Busan to Gyeongju?

Usually not. When we checked in October 2026, Goodlugg's Busan hotels to Gyeongju hotels route required at least 2 bags per booking and closed bookings at midnight the day before. Unbooked items such as shopping bags and backpacks are not picked up.

Can I send something from Busan to Gyeongju on a Sunday?

Not by KTX parcel, because Zim Carry's KTX특송 does not run on Sundays at any counter. A door-to-door quick courier is the remaining same-day option, but we have not verified Sunday courier availability on this route. We take requests every day from 09:00 to 23:59 KST.

How much does it cost to move an item from Busan to Gyeongju?

Zim Carry's KTX parcel costs ₩5,000 to ₩28,000 by size for up to 10 kg, station to station. Goodlugg starts at ₩49,000 per bag with a 2-bag minimum. A quick courier fare is distance-based and only shown after you enter both addresses, so we do not quote one here.

Can I send my passport by courier to my next hotel?

No. Kakao T Quick lists ID cards among the items it will not carry. If you left your passport in Busan, plan to go back for it yourself.
